Special Topics in AI: Adv. Topics in Reinforcement Learning and Decision Making Course ID 15889 Description This seminar class will cover some advanced topics in RL including foundations, algorithms, applications (in foundation model fine-tuning, robotics, scientific applications, etc). This course is expected to involve paper reading each week, including a discussion of these papers in the class, followed by a class project. Key Topics Of particular emphasis in this class would be topics that involve modern questions in deep RL pertaining to foundation models, scaling, learning from offline data. Course Relevance PhD students who want to learn RL. Course Goals Train PhD students to be ready to pursue research in RL and decision making. Pre-required Knowledge Basic ML knowledge is required.
