Summer Research for International Students Undergraduate summer research internships in Computer Science for international students. OverviewCarnegie Mellon Computer Science Department offers a ten (10) week Summer International Student Program to provide training in and development of research and other educational skills in computer science to international students with great promise for graduate studies. The program will typically starts during the last week of June. The activities will take place Monday through Friday for 10 weeks. Each Student will be mentored by a faculty advisor in Carnegie Mellon’s School of Computer Science. The Program is intended to provide opportunities for students to observe and undertake research processes and methodologies assigned to by their faculty advisor. Participants attend technical talks and activities to learn about differences in research processes between their countries and the U.S. Although the program is educational in nature, the students will not receive Carnegie Mellon degrees, or academic credit for their participation, and will not own intellectual property rights for their assignments at Carnegie Mellon. Application InformationApplication deadline: February 1, 2025Recommendations from three faculty members, or by a faculty panel, including the department head or the dean of their universities are required. Such payment shall be made in full in US dollars via Carnegie Mellon’s online payment system 45 days prior to the start of the program. Payment instructions will be provided by Carnegie Mellon through separate correspondence.
