Teaching High School CS Courses
Leo Chen (S3D MS), current teacher at The Ellis School, and Sol Boucher (CSD PhD '22), current international school teacher, will present a talk on high school CS teaching. All graduate students are welcome.
Some of the topics to be addressed:
- Each of our routes to teaching throughout and after grad school
- What's different and great about teaching high school
- Public, private, and international schools
- Clearances and credentialing, including licensing routes
- A bit about what we teach and cool projects we've designed
- The AP and IB courses that people are likely to encounter
- Conferences and communities to be aware of
